A dinner party, of sorts.
The cooks were frazzled,
the meat wasn't quite right,
the floor wasn't swept
and a few flies snuck in (uninvited, of course).
But our hearts were so full of joy,
so thankful to share life with such dear friends
and so blessed to walk this journey together,
that instead of worrying or fussing
or getting all hot and bothered,
We smiled and laughed and said,
"Hey, pass the brownies!"
and "We're really glad you're here"
and knew that this is exactly
the best way to dirty all our dishes.
