I love TED--oh yes I do!

Okay, so, I am the first to admit that I am easily amused.

But YOU GUYS, I just discovered one of the greatest things EVER (and no, I am not talking about those devilishly delicious Reese's eggs...but holy crap those are good!).

Today, it is my delight to introduce TED.

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) brings together the "world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes)" for an annual conference.

Why? Because TED believes "passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world."

Okay, TED. Cool. That's an idea that I can totally support, but how will these ideas change the world if confined to an invitation-only conference?

Because--oh the suspense!--the conference presentations (dubbed TED Talks by those oh-so-clever-marketers) are available online. For free!

(pause for a celebratory Reese's egg...or five)

The idea behind TED is that by offering free ideas and information from inspiring, passionate, creative, innovative people, a community of "curious souls [will] engage with ideas and each other."

TED, are you kidding me?! Best-kept secret ever!

So, friends, I encourage you to check out TED and let me know if--
I mean when--you find something particularly inspiring/creative/encouraging/motivating/etc. I will start by recommending this one.

Also, to further pique your curiosity, this year's conference caused quite the stir when this guy gave this talk that used quite the visual aid. TED2009 also featured these people who are clearly talented but also TOTALLY FREAKING ME OUT.

Ummm, TED, you may just be my new b-f-f.
